Observation details
An incredible find by Michael Gray! Many thanks! I never thought I would get to salvage this for Michigan. The bird is foraging in a very narrow strip of dune grass and a wooded bluff along the shore of Lake Superior. I have no idea how long it will stick here. I only had one sighting in two hours of searching. But apparently it was very cooperative for Michael allowing him to get a phone video of the bird. Perhaps it is more active earlier in the day? I heard it call a few times about twenty minutes before I saw the bird, a very high pitched thin short metallic note "tsip". When arriving to Wetmore Landing, walk down path from parking lot to beach and turn right. Bird was between the south most staircases down to the beach on the beach level, here are coordinates for where in was in the beach grass- 46.6128079, -87.4627282
