NOTES: (Annoyance) Other Sound Source: not sure NOTES ON DATA FORM: First cut on this tape has just 2 "odd-ball" Long-eared Owl calls. The second cut is somewhat of a mystery. This sound was made by a Long-eared Owl flying over my head. Display was initiated by playing of a taped Long-eared Owl call. Bird flew over making these noises. I have been to roosts for several weeks, but this is the first time I have observed this display. Bill popping? - No - - this is wing slapping. [This last comment "No -- this is wing slapping" appears to have been written on the data form at a different time than the rest of the notes. mf]. Response to playback: Approach. Other Behaviors: Perform Visual Display.
