Observation details
The majority of Zosterops birds observed had traits that were mostly consistent with ashy-bellied white-eye, although several had some mixed traits. A number of birds appeared to phenotypically resemble ashy-bellied white-eye: yellow throat and lores, green mantle, narrow eye ring, and some with a hint of a yellow line up the belly. See attached photos for examples. We are aware of the unconfirmed genetic status of the birds on the island and await future research of this population to confirm the sighting.
