NOTES: Other behavior: unknown NOTES ON DATA FORM: Bird was drumming in area 30m in a Grand Fir with dead top. Should be too late for territorial drumming. May be a young bird as it almost fell out of tree during one of the drumming sequences. BNA: Drumming heard throughout the recording. CZ 09/03/2004. [Eleven examples of the Drum (one during the voice annoucement) in addition to one Campephilus-like "double tap" at 1:335 (see p. 419 of Short. 1982. Woodpeckers of the World. Delaware Mus. Nat. Hist. 4:1-676). There is also a series at 2:57-3:03 that may represent the "Wok" Call of Short (1982), but it does not appear typical. Quality changed from 1 to 1-2 - CAM - 6 May 2005]. Other Behaviors: Bill Drumming. Habitat: Forest, Coniferous Forest.
