NOTES: BREEDING STATUS: breeding NOTES ON DATA FORM: cut 140hz. Recording made at nest hole in Aspen grove. Hole approx 2.5m above ground. 2 mikes set up one above nesthole the second on a parabola approx 10m away. Vocalizations of adults and nestlings. One adult stayed in nest cavity and transferred as other left. BNA: Some wing sounds are heard as well as vocalizations that I do not know how to identify. CZ 04/03/2004. Other Behaviors: Establish Parent Young Contact, Perform Nest Relief, Care For Young. Habitat: Forest, Coniferous Forest, Deciduous Forest, Montane Grassland.
