Media notes
The sounds of the rapid wingbeats of the flock of swiftlets as they swirl and congregated just above the waters surface
Observation details
A conservative estimate of a flock of very active birds that were swirling low above the water flapping with rapid wingbeats as they swooped down and plucked insects from the water surface . The sound recording depicts the sounds of their wings flapping in rapid succession. These birds have a unique ability to use echolocation at their breeding sites in dark caves.
