Observation details
Very unique-looking bird. Male still had his long ruff of dark feathers around the neck. Bill slightly down turned. In feeding with dowitchers and yellowlegs. First spotted in a small slough leading out toward the dredge islands. Flock was spooked by an eagle and headed to the gazebo pond, where I was able to get another good look. Photos.
