Observation details
Bird first ID by Sean Bachman. Bird was about the size of a Herring Gull, maybe slighly smaller. Head and body were overall oatmeal brown in color. Wingtips were only slightly darker in color as back. Cresents in primaries were observed. Bill was larger than expected for Iceland Gull and was solid black. Legs were red in color. Head shape was rounded compared to Herring Gull, but not as round as expected in an Iceland Gull. Tertials were similar color as back of bird and showed dark centers. When wings were extended, primaries were darker than main wing, but still very light. A darker secondary bar was observed on the exteneded wing as well and shows in the attached photo.
