Observation details
Continuing bird at this location. ID as Pomarine since it has spoon-shaped central tail feathers, and it does not have white arc near the bill for Parasitic. The bird was sitting in the wading pond next to the jetty. Upon photo review, it was accompanying a great blue heron out 100 feet or so. Then it moved closer and sat on a dry spot in the middle of pond. Then it moved over to the beach, where I got within 10 feet of the bird. The bird has some injuries: It's missing two toes on its left foot, and it's missing feathers on it's left wing. It flies but not too far. Will post pics.
