Media notes
Three Hudsonian Godwits are shown here. Two would seem to be males, based on their abundance of striking, relatively uniform, reddish color on the underside. The other individual presumably is a female, based on its deficit of striking color on its underside. Its underside evinces some subtle barring in this photo. The two males look like adults to me, the probable female may be a first-spring bird or, perhaps less conceivably, a first-spring male.
Observation details
Twenty-five of this species were noted by actual count, and we had the impression that, across the large area, we might have missed a few. Therefore, I would say there were "at least 25" of this species. Several photos of this species are included herewith, along with related comments.
