Observation details
A combined total of 7 Least and Little Terns were yipping away as we crossed the runway towards Catchment Pond. They were flitting about in the sky, chastising us and chasing every bird that went by, including albatrosses. They are now considered regular on Midway, where they breed on the edge of the runway. Not sure if the image is a Least or a Little. The recording appears to be a mix of both Little Terns (single note ending higher than starting) and Least Terns (double-ish note ending at same pitch as started).
