Observation details
Most likely Red-tailed Hawk, according to Merlin Photo ID. Possibly juvenile that has almost completely changed to adult plumage. Bird was seen shortly after pouring rain stopped; wet feathers may have changed its appearance. Was in the upper portion of a tall tree, being mobbed by blackbirds, a robin, and a Baltimore Oriole. Flew to the other side of the boardwalk and landed in the upper portion of another tree. Was mobbed again. Stayed there for a long time. Will add additional photos showing size comparison with robin.
