Observation details
One swift was viewed for approximately 90 minutes, flying over the pond among a large mixed group of swallows (including Tree, Violet-green, Bank, Rough-winged, Barn and Cliff). When the swift came close, it seemed larger/bulkier than the surrounding swallows, slower and easier to track. It was dark grey-brown overall, with bulky wings. Wings long, inner primaries always bulging. Throat lighter than chest, rump close to same shade as back. One birder thought they heard it give loud single-note chirp calls every time it approached. However, no audio was recorded and with so many birds present, one can't be certain which bird was calling. Photos included, brief video here https://youtu.be/1QY1zFmTjOQ More photos below.
