Observation details

Very Low “coo-coo-coo” descending call for a duration of at least 15 + min. I know where the bird is and will try to see it. There’s a break in the honeysuckle hedge exposing a beaver dam and it’s across the open water in reeds/low shrub vegetation on other side. Easy to hear standing quietly. IbirdPro least bittern C2 call exact match. Definitely not a frog. I’ve been encouraged to submit recordings although the foreground birds are loud you can still hear the low soft bittern coos in the background. “The developers of Sound ID are constantly telling us the value of recordings submitted with multiple species so that the program builds and builds in picking out all the species in a chorus. When Sound ID is improving itself, it can change the volume of species in a crowd, and visually enhance or diminish spectrograms of various species.”
