Observation details
dirty bib, strong white on primaries. David Shoch reviewed images I took today around my feeder, attached, here are his comments: xThis is a BCCH. I'm currently in Chester Co PA studying Black-cappeds and Carolinas together for the past three days (I'll have photos to share when I get back home). Your bird looks unambiguous, with prominent white edging to coverts, extensive white cheek patch with long fluffy white feathers in the back. The white edging to outer rectrices is also a good indication of BCCH apparently. Darker tertial centers on BCCH also heightens the contrast of the white edging, Peter Brask's bird in Batesville showed this well, relative to CACH (which can also show white edges to secondaries and tertials, but with grayer centers to the tertials closer to the shade of the mantle).
