Observation details
*Rare but regular. Continuing bird in alternate plumage found earlier this morning by Ann Stockert. Small egret with black legs and feet, thick orangey bill, and cinnamon-colored crown and breast. More limited and paler cinnamon coloration, and a more orangey bill, than East Asian coromandus, which is far more unlikely to occur as a vagrant here. Moved around quite a bit, last seen in empty lot west of westmost bridge. Photos.
