Observation details
Originally thought it was an Iceland (Kumlien's) Gull, but now believe it is a Glaucous-winged Gull. Very large and bulky, bigger than surrounding Herring Gulls, too big for a Kumlien's Gull. Light monotone colour with mostly black bill (very little pink). Depending on the lighting, secondaries sometimes contrasting with the rest of the wing when in flight (top of wing). Light wingtips, and when backlit, primaries were translucent. Underside of rectrices monotone colour, not patterned like Kumlien’s. Photos.
