Observation details
Found earlier by Janet Kelly, but I believe it to be a LBCU rather than WHIM. While I'm not super confident at telling the two species apart by distant sight, it flew over fairly close and vocalized while I was observing. It made a rising "cooLI" call typical of the curlew. It was also very large in flight, with warm cinnamon tones and heavy wingbeats. It was initially in the elevated causeway between the first and second ponds to the east, but flew overhead and took off to the north out of sight. Pics and audio to follow.
