NOTES: (Altitude: 0-65 m. Bkground Sounds: Insects (many, bad), Eurystomus glaucurus (displaying). Mic. wrapped in plastic wrap. Songs--with muted mimic phrases and the call or "song call" (per M.E.W. North). Rain in the forest heavy most days and at this time a shower at Watamu. Rain on 11/12/85 and again on 12th/12/85. Playback of the first long sequence drew hiim nearer with a good response of "song call.". Other Behaviors: Mate.
