NOTES: 5403; (WWHG)[This recording contains mostly the "Burp Call," which is best described by Cramp et al. (1977. Handbook of the birds of Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa: the birds of the Western Palearctic. Vol. 1. Oxford University Press, Oxford) and shown in Fig. I on page 491. The first part of the recording contains three relatively good examples of this call (0:085-0:19). The second part of the recording begins with a "burp" and a series of "quacks" (0:24-0:27), some of which were probably given by A. strepera, but the deeper ones sound like those of A. platyrhynchos (or A. rubripes), and then three more "burps" (0:38-0:50). I believe the series at the beginning of the third part (1:10-1:17) represents mostly "quacks" by this species, but apparently also some of the "tickety-tickety-tickety" Feeding Chatter; this is followed by one last "burp" at 1:215. Quality added (2/2-3) - CAM - 21 March 2005].
