Observation details
Third time's the charm! Large immature gull, significantly larger than the California gulls. Features include: a bulbous yellow bill with a thick black tip, yellow-orange legs, yellow eyering, brown back with some gray peeking through, white rump, and black tail missing feathers. Seen on the northern pier by the shore, near the large metal gate leading to the gas pumps. Looks like the best time to visit is in the early afternoon, perhaps around 1 to 3 PM. See photos.
