Observation details
In the corn stubble on the south side of Blandy, visible from the intersection of Blandy Farm Lane and Berrys Ferry Road. Five large grayish cranes with rusty blotches on the breast and some on the wings, medium-sized dark bills, red caps, and white faces. Photographed. These are the first Sandhill Cranes I've ever seen in Clarke County and represent the 208th species I've seen on Blandy in my 19.5 years here.
