Observation details

Early migrant surprise foraging on embankment between Ponds 1W and 2. Gorgeous dove-like honey-colored sandpiper first seen alone and then in the company of American Golden-Plover and Killdeer. Foraging in grassy stubble and then on dry grassy portions of nearby mudflat. Sustained observation of this captivating bird. Photo to follow.
