Observation details
There were 2 young birds. Very dark brown, much larger than RBGU. Photos will be attached. Research leaned towards GWGU. While looking at the gulls two gull flew over, one kept going while the second took a few laps around while the bread was being feed to all the other ducks and gulls. Super siked for this sighting! Couldn't originally make the ID completely but help from other birders and experts, we were able to confirm it! Posted to Bird BirdForum.net was very helpful with others chiming at will saying what they say in ruling out Iceland Gull by thinner bill and different color patterns. Experts later determined with more research that this was a first winter GWGU Confirmation Conversation: https://www.birdforum.net/threads/gull-id-help-please-riverfront-park-downtown-spokane-wa-usa.420315/#post-4296567 Seen on the board walk by the carousel flying down the river.
