Media notes

Molting male Marsh Seedeater: a gray-backed bird with a white throat and rusty coming into its belly. It’s singing from a tall, fairly bare acacia-like tree along a wet roadside channel through tall grassland; then it flies into the tall grass, where it calls; then back to its original song tree, where it sings again (including 2nd cut). Background includes: Red-winged Tinamou and wind. Recorded using a Fostex FR-2LE with a Sennheiser ME67 directional mic with an Auray shaggy windscreen.

Additional species

  • Red-winged Tinamou Rhynchotus rufescens
