Observation details
**RARITY for this location. First record for the Zamorano campus and possibly the first free flying bird recorded in the whole valley (OK has been studying birds in this valley for 6 years). Flying high, to the east over the entrance to horticulture (Zone 2) area, but then circled around and headed back towards the chapel area. Don't know if it ever landed. Noted the darker head and breast, light gray belly, pale tail with broad dark terminal band, large white rump patch, and small white tuft above the base of the bill, contrasting with the dark head. Poor photo obtained.
