Observation details
Continuing bird, photos. Originally located in 2016. First found this winter by Tim Healy on 11/26/21. Last reported by Cesar Castillo on 1/19/22, I stopped by a couple of times previously this year without finding it, until today. Once there were no geese, the other time they all had their heads down. As Tim noted, it continues to associate very closely with a small Canada Goose. This bird is even smaller than the bill of that Canada, has a very short bill, short neck, white ring at the base of the black on the neck, and a distinctive angular head. Today it was on the W side of the pond towards the N end
