Observation details
http://www.flickr.com/photos/nervousbird/6301078354/in/photostream Comments from a much more experienced birder than me "This looks like an immature female Rufous to me. Broad-tailed would show more of an eye ring (breaking up the dark lores) and would have a more obvious extension of white-tipped r3 projecting past r1 (i.e., a bigger white tail tip). Also, it would have a longer overall look to both the body and tail, and usually have a more evenly stippled throat. And I would lean strongly toward Rufous rather than Allen's just because of the width of the rectrices."Banded on 11/07/11 - immature female Rufous.
