LIFER!!!!! OMGOSHHHHH! CRAZY AMAZING BIRD. It was reported an hour ago and I said to my dad, we got to go and try for it. So we left the house and drove over to the Finley Point area. Didn’t see it on the way there but when we drove back I spotted it on the telephone wire 350 feet south of the East Shore Smoke House. IT WAS SO SO TINY! It soon flew over to the left side of the road towards the mountains and sat 5 feet from the ground on a branch probably looking for prey. I got superb photos right out the car window 3 feet away and it paid no attention to us. We also met this guy named Ty walking his dog and he also saw it after we pointed it out to him. I later showed him the pictures we took and he was impressed with how cool it looked. He took a picture on his phone of my pic to remember it too! It flew off the wire when we left but most definitely stayed the same vicinity of the sighting marker. So happy to of finally got this species after trying for it many times last year and this year.
