Observation details
Immature bird. Small rail-like bird walking along water's edge, with huge feet and white line above the eye. It felt safer to postpone announcing this first Maricopa Co. record to the general birding community, as we are only granted access to conduct the Salt/Verde Christmas Bird Count for a few days a year in December, and that is with a proper permit and liability insurance.
