Media notes
The American Robin under the accipiter's talons was still alive at the time, gasping. This was across the street from my driveway. I pulled over to take the photo. I did not scare the COHA away. When I returned from my errand, I found one AMRO feather.
Observation details
Look what I found as I pulled out of my driveway! Hawk was on the corner of Foxwood Drive and Brown Bark Place. The American Robin under his talons was still alive at the time, gasping. I also have a movie. I left quickly before I disturbed the hawk further. When I returned from work, I could only find a few AMRO breast feathers at the scene of the meal.
