Mr. Robert Fields, Mgr Klamath Basin WL Refuges estimated from aerial surveys that there were 19,000 swans here today. First two recordings made at 10:10am and 10:45am at Klamath NWL Refuge, and the third at Tule Lake NWLR about noon. All birds were in icy water with the major portions frozen.
