Amazing *MEGA* find by Mike Vedder!! Large plover which reminded me of a fancy, more colorful Killdeer. Thick dark band across its chest, white belly, dark upperparts with a green tint and 2 dark plumes on its head. Seemed content on the small sandbar until it moved and was then pursued by a RBGU. It attempted to return to the sandbar 2 times but the RBGU would not allow it. Couldn’t think of a more wonderful bird to be my NYS year 300! Photos.
