Observation details

This species is rare in NS during November. This individual shows an atypical moult stage for this date. Typically by November, HYs are mostly in basic plumage, but this bird shows no distinct flank barring, juvenal pattern to the brest and undertail as well as only two replaced scapulars on its left side, and the retained upperpart feathers show extreme wear.
