Greater White-fronted Goose
Observation details
Medium-sized brownish-gray goose with orange legs and bill; white face and white band on base and tip of tail; Slightly smaller than accompanying Canada Geese; Initially swimming near Parking Lot #3, came ashore at south end of lake where it was seen feeding; after about 10 minutes the White-fronted and Canadas moved offshore and headed toward Parking Lots 4&5. After a fruitless search on Saturday, an Sunday AM call from Ari Weiss paid off!
