Observation details
I was originally thinking Iceland (Thayer's) Gull but wasn't satisfied with all the features, especially head and bill size, and general expression and had it ID'ed as a GWGU. The plumage pattern and creamy color struck me first as Iceland (Thayer's ) Gull, yet the bill is on the thicker side and the tertials don't contrast enough with general plumage color. Legs are short like ICGU, and this individual could very well be that species or a hybrid (Glaucous-winged x Herring). Most Thayer's-type from my experience have smaller rounded head with a finer bill relative to the stocky nature of the species.
