Found by Eve Freeberg. This photo by me was published in American Birds. Sharon notes starting at 7:50 AM: "Bill bluish with dark tip; legs bluish; head buffy-gold, lightly streaked with brown; dark area around eye; eye dark. Nape goldish buff, mantle, scapular, wing coverts, primaries, secondaries, tertials, all dark brown edged with buff; primaries particularly noted to be edged with buff, belly back to undertail coverts are buff heavily barred with brown; throat buffy like head. Breast becoming brownish but not as heavily barred. Wing tips extend beyond tail. Two central feathers are longer than remainder of tail. Primaries more on blackish side than remainder of feathers on top. Tail blackish-brown. In flight 6 or 7 primaries show some white when viewed from underwing. Flight is somewhat like a Bonaparte's Gull.
