Observation details
First cycle found by Chloe and Nolan Walker several days ago. Took a while to finally pick it up out of the mass of birds, with Ed and I miraculously spotting it at the same instant! Great flocks in flight and perched several times. On the light end of the kumlin's spectrum, with primaries appearing basically white at rest, without a trace of Thayer's like pattern shown by many young kumlieni. Bill with instinct amound of pinkish at base. In flight, hint of a dusky tailband. Several photos to follow.
