Observation details
Number is a conservative estimate. On the mud flats north of Little Conestoga Road. Seen at a great distance through the scope. Brown streaky birds slightly smaller than a Robin. I was thinking pipits but couldn't be sure at that distance. They eventually took flight and came right over my head and I observed the pipit-like flight, could see white outer tail feathers and heard the call notes that matched those in the sibley app. Extrremely distant pictures show the general size, shape and coloration of the birds.
