Observation details
One of the Ipswich Sparrows had three bands on it's left leg, from the top: red/orange, black, green. See the pictures with the two sparrows (one on right). Also seen slightly earlier today by Harry Wales: https://ebird.org/checklist/S97511689 He noted the right leg had "yellow metal on right leg". The SASP were feeding on the beach right next to the dune grass. They made repeated trips between the dune grass and the beach to forage. Update 11/24/21: The Ipswich Sparrow Project (Becky Jardine) reports that "This juvenile bird was banded on September 9th this year on Sable Island by Mark Dodds. The yellow over metal band on the right leg indicates that it was banded this year."
