Observation details
Finally got a record of this species! First spotted one bird flying towards GNP . The bird was more stockier than the Asian palm or little swifts. Photographed the second bird that flew towards the marshy areas. Very clear that it was an Apus swift Asian palm swift (not an apus swift but still mentioned elimination process)eliminated by non stocky appearance and shape and structure of bird Pallid swift eliminated on the basis of absence of extremely scaly appearing belly and white throat Little swift eliminated based on fork tail and non prominent white throat Dark rumped swift is endemic to North east hills Fork tailed swift has very whitish throat It is the common swift from the stocky appearance , Brown nature , no white rump, non scaly belly .
