Observation details
Very dark, large swifts. No other black swifts in range. Some seem to think it's too scaly for A. apus. However, the Sasol eBird app includes a photo that shows a similar level of scaling. The only other plausible option is African Black Swift which is out of range and should have a darker back compared to the secondaries, whereas this bird seems to be uniform.
