Observation details
A very bright individual seen well for over 30 minutes and photographed. Familiar with this species. Clear and obvious dark breast with distinct cut off and while belly easy seen. Jumped out straight away as not a Sharpie. I’ve seen/found his species in UK and Australia before. Likely first for Sumba and c5th-8th record for Indonesia. It was feeding on its own with a Red-necked Stint, juvenile Sharp-tailed Sandpiper, and Common Greenshank nearby.
