NOTES: [There are various calls in the early part of this recording (0:05-1:11) that are probably best categorized as Squawks based on BNA account (primarily 0:05-0:15, less so later on). Some of these are much like calls in LNS #59795, but others are shorter in duration and lower in frequency. There is also a series of Clucks at 0:16-0:19 and several Cackles later in the recording (e.g., 2:03-2:10). Songs of Ixobrychus exilis are as good as, if not better, in quality than the moorhen calls (Quality 2 - BEST parts are at 1:09-2:04 and 2:50-3:03). Quality changed from 2 to 2-3 - CAM - 2 March 2005] LNS: Subject changed from Gallinula chloropus to G. galeata to reflect current taxonomy. -Matt Medler, 14 Sept 2011. Number of individuals=AU1+;. Habitat: Wetland, Freshwater, Pond.
