NOTES: I WALKED UP TO A BIRD INCUBATING AN EGG AND TAPED THESE AGGRESSIVE OBJECTIONS WITH THE BIRD STABBING AT MY FEET WITH ITS BILL; PLUS THE LOUD COMPLAINTS OF NEARBY NESTING BIRDS WHICH SUBSEQUENTLY WENT INTO A COMPLETE UPROAR WITH MANY OF THEM FLYING OFF. SOUND: 'KAHRRRR' LOUD AND HARSH. SPECIMEN COLLECTED BY D. V. MERTON AND LOCATED AT THE DOMINION MUSEUM. Other Behaviors: Incubate, Social Context: Colony. Habitat: Bay/Harbor.
