Media notes
1st summer. Remarks: We saw very few waders during our trip due the time of the year, We saw a solitary Grey-tailed Tattler, developing breeding plumage, on the coast near our homestay. The bird is late in migration as most migration is said to happen between March–late May (HBW 2019). Takeyoshi Matsuo says " This bird has still retained its juvenile feathers on rump, scapulars, middle coverts and greater coverts, which have white fringes and black sub-terminal band, fringes already worn a bit though. First summer birds do not breed in their first summer, second summer afterward they commence their breeding, so this bird is lingering around south of their breeding ground." -Amar.
