Media notes
Female feeding. Remarks: This is an uncommon Green Pigeon to see and, as Wells (1999) states, "lowland occurrences are sparse". It was feeding with two other Yellow-vented Green-pigeons and two Thick-billed Green Pigeons Treron curvirostra. They were at a fruiting Ficus benjamina. It had been cold and wet for days, the birds were hungry, so the tree was full of many different species feeding furiously. Initially very shy but hunger overcame the concern with my presence. The fruit is crushed and swallowed. - Amar. Date added to OBI: December 07, 2013.
