Remarks: Habitat: Large stream cutting through hills and agricultural community land with secondary growth and scrub/tall grass. Another delightful small babbler that is very fast moving. A common resident and we saw it a few times in the hills and mountains as part of mix foraging parties. There is the lovely rufous cap, fine streaks in the throat and a pale eye ring. "The Taiwan race praecognita has more definite and more extensive throat streaking, a slightly darker cap and more rufous-tinged upperparts than mainland forms" (Source: http://www.birdingintaiwan.com/Birdsintwn/rufouscappedbabbler.htm). - Amar.
