Observation details
Continuing bird that was originally discovered by Michael Pazzani. Redound by Tom and Britney (thanks guys!) the bird was seen hopping around in a pile of bramble for about 30-45 minutes with M.Ob. I left to go try and find the OVEN (without success) and returned to the island about an hour later to find the bird still there, but no other birders present. Watched the bird till it got dark about 6:45. This was an extremely distinctive warbler with dark blue cap and back, black mask and throat, and white belly. Occasionally have thick low “chip” or “chup” calls as it foraged.
