Media notes
Red-shouldered Hawk at start of clip, then Acadian at four seconds, then yellow-bellied calls in background four times beginning at 5.5 secs.
Observation details
On loop trail predawn. Heard only. Calling concurrently with Acadian for great comparison. About 150 yards from sighting two days prior. Will upload recording. On recording first you hear scold of red-shouldered hawk, then Acadian close by at about 4 secs. Beginning at 5.5 secs you hear four quick call notes from yellow-bellied fly. These are not songs but the short emphatic high squeak call note given during migration and on wintering areas.
